Because its my birthday today, and I love having birthdays, I am to be excused for writing this totally self-centered entry. I really have nothing more important to write about. New Years Eve was spent at home, the children asleep, and a quick (non-alcoholic) toast and kiss with Hero at midnight. He spent the evening on the computer, and I knitted and watch Ryan Seacrest get slammed by pretty much everyone who talked to him.
Today, though, is full of plans for fun. Hero made me pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, and Pearl helped. She sang Happy Birthday to me, too, and whispered about helping Grandma make a chocolate cake for me. Hero and I will be dropping the wee ones off at Grandma and Papas house so that I can shop at Heritage, go out to lunch at the restaurant of my choosing, and then also see a movie that I want to see. Im thinking Phantom of the Opera, because I love me some musicals, especially that one. Though Im sure it cant compare to Mermaid of the Opera, the show that Pearl and I put on this morning. She played harmonica, while I played the spoons, egg shakers and tambourine (yes, all at the same time), and Sprout played kazoo. Really, really loudly. Anyhow, after our date, well head back to my parents house where my mom and dad will have dinner for me. I (heart) my birthday, even my 31st birthday.
