Fly Me to the Moon
assembled @ 10:10 a.m. on 2004-11-19

I'm not sure, but I think my guestbook is broken, or at least slightly wonky. No one but Jen and I have posted to it in forever, and people are using my Diaryland notes instead. Weird. Could someone please leave me some lovin' in the guestbook, so I can test it? Thanks in advance.

--------------------------------------------

This has got to be one of the coolest things that I have ever seen online. I've been flying around the world with it, visiting the Eiffel tower, looking for the Great Wall of China, looking up anyone I have an address for. (Don't worry, it's not like I can see you naked). I will have to make myself sick of it before my trial subscription is up, so that I won't even want to subscribe.

--------------------------------------------

Speaking of cool, Pearl did the neatest thing last night. A little background before I tell the story: Pearl's chair, at our sad little folding dining room table, is facing away from the doors to the deck, and the blinds are usually closed. We were sitting at dinner last night, and Pearl jumped up, turned around and pulled the blinds open on the right-hand door. She bent waaaay down, looked waaay up, and said, "Momma! Look at the moon!" I got down on my hands and knees to look through the space she'd opened in the blinds, and far up in the sky was a teeny little half moon. Even if she were facing the door, and the blinds were open, she wouldn't have seen that moon without having looked for it, yet she knew right were it was, and jumped up in the middle of a bite to show it to me.

"Pearl, how did you know where the moon was?"

"God told me."

I have nothing else to say about that. It's just too neat.
