Bedtime was very sweet this evening. Pearl sung a little song to me, just "You're the bestest mommy ever," over and over again, to the tune of "Clementine". When she was finished, I said, "Thanks sweetie! That was a great song!"
"Hm, thanks. I'm just a girl. Who sings."
I swear sometimes I feel like I need to look at her birth certificate to see how old she is.

We'll be making our offer on The House (I feel like it deserves capital letters) this Friday. Wow. I'm sure there are words for how I'm feeling right now, and I'm just as sure I couldn't find them. Thrilled beyond belief does come to mind, however.

There's a computer motherboard sitting on one of the desks down here in the basement. It's from Hero's computer; the board crapped out last week and was quickly replaced. There's something about it, though, some ordered, eye-pleasing beauty, that makes me want to frame it and put it on the wall. I think I have just the place for it. In our new house. Squee!!
