HI! Yes, I am alive. I'm writing this entry from our teeny little local library, since that's currently the only place I can access the internet, short of D's house.
We've officially moved in, and while we're still unpacking some things, we're home, and I love it. There's definitely an adjustment period, especially for Pearl, but it's so worth it.
There's plenty more to write about, but I'm already taking my chances, trying to keep a three-year-old entertained for more than 5 minutes, so before I go, I'll leave you with this rather interesting conversation that Pearl and I had yesterday.
Me: Look, the leaves are changing colors!
Pearl: Why they change colors?
Me: They get less sunlight in the fall, and that makes them change.
Pearl: Yeah, my dad told me that, too.
Me: What did he tell you about them?
Pearl: That they change color. What colors do they change?
Me: Well, I think maples turn red, and oak trees turn yellow, but I'm not sure.
Pearl: (not missing a beat) My finger turns yellow when I pick my nose.
