I had a job interview today. It went really well, and I am actually excited about the possibility of working at this place. So I went home and set the microwave on fire to celebrate.

No, really.

Ok, not on purpose, but I did set the microwave on fire, heating some silk yarn to set the dye with which I had painted it. The yarn is beyond dead, melted in a lumpy black mass of silk and plastic. The microwave is toast, too. (Hah! Look at the humor! So sharp!) I suppose I must have zapped the yarn a bit too long for the teensy skeins I had spun. I feel like such an ass. Hero, on the other hand, while not happy, refrained from yelling and said instead, Well, now you have more counter space.

Its a good thing Im getting a job. Then we can get a new microwave, and also, I will not be at home to blow up anything else.
